Vacuum Rotary Disc Filters
Filtres Vernay™
The rotary disc vacuum filter operates in a similar way to the rotary drum vacuum filter.
The drum is replaced by a series of discs divided into sectors. Its floor-space/filtration-area ratio is its main advantage.
With units up to 480m², the Vernay disk filter ought to be regarded as the best solution to perform continuously high solid production on large filtering areas. With reduced investment in equipment, its working and maintenance cost remains the same as for the other vacuum filters.
The table shows available filtration areas and manufacturing ranges. According to the real separation problem and the industrial application concerned, any arrangement is possible for better process adaptation.
Our disc filters are constructed in a wide range of materials.
Disc filters can be fitted with an agitator.
Depending on the suspension data, the agitators are designed with either a rotary paddle type or a pendular type. A deep submergence filter and a filter hooding are also available.
The filtering sectors are usually constructed of stainless steel. They are designed to be covered with either metallic cladding (stainless steel or brass) or textile bags.
The scrapped discharge is mainly used with the help of an air blowback. For fibrous products, a water-jet nozzle discharge may be preferred.
